Movement...

What a soul-pleasing gift movement is...

For starters there are plenty types of movement, or genres shall we say...:

- there's finding the comfy position in bed

- running to an event

- taking a gentle stroll

- doing practical things (eg. Making dinner, washing)

- satisfying ones carnal needs

- dancing (yum, ill get back to her)

- expressing emotions

- conveying affection

- lastly, stillness, for if it wasn't for motion, the blissful state of stillness wouldn't exist.

Golly, movement really does a heck of a lot for us.

Movement is intrinsic and implicit with our emotions. Don't believe me? Okay try this....

Say, "you filthy disgusting waste of a human".
Now say it scowling through your teeth in a malicious, dark and angry tone.
Now.... This is the tricky bit... Try and make your face peaceful and happy with love in your eyes..... And say it with the same tone. YOU CANT! (Anyone that can, I recommend making a YouTube vid, you'll be rich&famous in no time).

And for those of you who can't (everyone) then we revert back to my point; intrinsic, implicit.

Our motions are emotions dancing with our features, oozing from our pores subconsciously, contorting us into living representations of ourselves.

Without that, we'd either move like mere robots, or our bodies would become prisons to our psyche. Not cool.

And Dance, wawie. Maybe it's just me but I LOVE to dance. There is a beautiful expression...

"Dance enables you to find yourself and lose yourself at the same time"

Isn't this funny? How by moving in a certain way, we can create something within, or externally, that is more than the sum of its parts..

And do you know something cool....
(I'm sure you do, so here's another cool thing to add to the list...)

The word "DANCE" is defined countless times on the Internet and so on. Yet with each definition it is either indecipherably complex and yet still not all encompassing, or too vague or too exclusive. It's impossible to give a fully comprehensive definition of dance!

I implore you to try!

And the beauty of that proves this magical point:

Language is a miracle; one of the most boundless and influential abilities of humans, however...

There are some things beyond words..

Some things more true, raw and innately understood. Things that are more essential to our core. And one of those things is
*Dance*.. (As well as many forms of movement in general)!

Sooo, next time someone asks you for a drink and you're feeling lazy, just remember that the fact you have legs to be able to move is a great gift and a privilege that some don't even have, so realise how lucky you are, and start moving in the right direction!

Thanks for reading, see you soon <3 (notice I didn't say tomorrow :p)

Memory...

Sorry, I've been a little uninspired recently, which sucks, but if it wasn't for times of low inspiration, times of plentiful inspiration would cease to exist even in a theoretical capacity, so it's really a gift :)

But then what isn't...

Okay, so. Today's entry begins...

You are living for your memory.

If you don't understand, or even worse don't agree, then read on, and soon you'll be cured.

This moment you're experiencing right now, it no longer exists.

It is now a memory.

You only understand the message of what I'm saying because of your amazing memory. And you care to understand because of your hope for something good, that your memory convinces you will await you at the end of the page.

What's more is..

You've never experienced the past and future in any capacity. Bam.

The past is a memory of the so-far endless 'moments' of the present.

The future is your so-far fictional depiction of what is to come, based on your memory of the so-far endless moments of the present.

So what I'm getting at is this:

Life is a split second at a time, each irrelevant, unconnected and unfulfilling if it were not for the miraculous gift of memory stringing them all together!!

So, next time you're fed up that you can't remember something, instead save your passion and energy to appreciate that every second your alive is great because of what you DO remember!!

:)

Memory is awesome, so just shut your eyes, think as you do so naturally, and remember with ease that you were alive a second ago, and bask in the beautiful blessing of being able to recall...

Mood swings...

Well, another unconventional entry...

But you'll be convinced in no time, I assure you...

The fact that humans wake up in different moods, experience mood swings, and respond to varying scenarios with different moods is amazing!

For you see, moods provide a new backdrop for each day; another component to ensure life is dynamic and impossible to predict...

Life is like painting a picture... and without 'moods' the picture would be all in one colour.

Different moods help us to respond to different scenarios differently! - thus making the enjoyment of these experiences multi-dimantional!

If it were not for moods, we'd wear the same thing every day...

We'd have a organised regular slot for sexual escapades...

We'd always eat the same food...

go to the same places...

speak to the same people...

So moods are not a life saver, but a life creator....

Convinced yet?

good !

But, if you're not...
Ask yourself what would be the point in the word 'atmosphere' or 'excitment' if they didn't intrinsically mean A NEW MOOD, aka. a temporary state of mind (Humphreys, 1998) - oh i forgot... I'm not doing my Uni essays... for once.

Dyou know the ironic thing about me writing about moods?

That I was in the mood to!!!

If it wasn't for mood, this wouldn't exist.

SO, next time you feel in a lousy mood, don't get frustrated and destructive... simply forgive yourself and dwell on the beauty of this unseeable dimension of life's dynamic amazingness - and let it inspire you to make changes in your life that irritate you, or to simply write poetry, draw pictures or sing songs. And next time you're in a good mood, run, jump, skip, sing, dance, write, love and most of all... appreciate

Life...

Obviously, life is amazing..

It's amazing because everything you've ever liked, thought, been, seen, wanted, enjoyed or achieved you owe to your being alive.

Therefore, ideally, you should make the most of every talent you have to spread joy, every moment to create and invest in your present and future and in others, and generally be a pro-active, initiative-taking, kind, awesome do gooder...

But if we all even wanted to be that way it would be a breakthrough, and if we could all become who we wanted to be, then the world would be a very different place.

Therefore, if you can't be perfect, at least make sure that life's pleasure isn't wasted on you.

I don't believe that time is eternal, and even if you do, it certainly isn't for you.

SO, with every blink make sure you simply enjoy and appreciate what it is you love about life

Music...

Ahhh music, thats not AHHH MUSIC just to make sure, it's ..oahh music ..

Now this is a nice and easy one...

Who can deny the magic of music?

For starters, music can achieve more than a sum of its parts - how miraculous!
What I mean is, the chords alone, the lyrics alone, and the melody alone, don't usually produce any great pleasure or have the capacity to particularly inspire you, however when combined with artistic harmony, can stir you like a stormy sea.

Music helps you relax,
It can make you cry,
inspire you,
scare you,
help you to understand yourself,
heal problems,
calm your mood,
open your eyes to life,
make you more sensitive,
make you happier,
keep you entertained,
create atmosphere instantly,
make you move like you wouldn't in silence,
and bring people together.

But what is it about music that makes it so enjoyable?

No one knows.

There's one theory... that it is comforting, as it reminds us of our mother's heartbeat when we were in the womb.. aww

But really? I'm not convinced...

Music mirrors language - it's recursive, dynamic and rhythmically ordered. So, in the same way we look at a picture and acquire a 1000 words worth of understanding, so too may we be idly gaining a world of depth from the relaxing combination of beats and sounds. But why then do I enjoy an angry horrible sounding screaming man with indecipherable noise half drowning him out (the heavy metal genre)? And why do we melt at the sound of Paulo Nutini but not Girls Allowed?

Is it that their voices speak of their truest essence which in turn speaks to our soul? That they connect on a deep level, embedded somewhere beneath our subconscious, somewhere that forms our very person; the very material that the subconscious has to work with?

Or...could it be that it drowns out all of our own thoughts, causing us to be transported to another conciousness; notably one that doesn't exist.. therefore resulting in a meditation-like state?

Or is it an evolutionary result of our propensity to certain sounds, like how a high pitched scream is unpleasant and unnerving..?

I don't really know.

But... what I do know is that whichever of these options you side with, if any, or if all, I know that music is untainted by any logic behind it.

There is no amount of clinical reasoning you could devise that would ever detract form the romance of song.

So how cool is that? What an astounding gift, from nowhere, that leads nowhere, other than straight back into you....

SO, next time you are listening to music, know that it is not a logically sound experience (excuse the pun) ..but a profound proof of self existence, an effective tool for subconscious introspection, an effortless mediation catalyst, and a mood enhancing journey through your psyche. Wow.

The Bubble...

Imagine for a second that you can never leave your house...

..but imagine that the walls grow their own decorations, and they're stunning, and some even make you feel high if you eat them..

..the lights switch on in the daytime and off automatically when it's night, and the curtains close and open by themselves...

..imagine the fridge itself is edible - healthy and delicious.. and when you eat some of it.. it just grows back again...

...imagine if when you're thirsty, fresh water fell from the ceiling, and the radiators came on when you were cold...

Now, imagine this miraculous house became wayy bigger - big enough to accommodate all your friends...

...and incase that get's boring, everyone else too...

Well... imagine no longer...

This is the bubble.

We live in a big self sustaining bubble and its CRAZY!

Water just comes from the ceiling!
The lights go on and off automatically!
The fridge re-grows every time you eat it!

Wow.

It's easy to take forgranted that it rains, the tree's grow fruit, that nightfall decends, but dont. Because when you look at the world like the big bubble of miracle that it is, man's inventions seem a little less dominant in our lives.

SO, next time you get caught up in your own little bubble... broaden your mind.. shut you literal eyes and open your metaphorical ones, and see the miracle of the world in all its unfathomable glory.

Sleep...

Wow.. think what life would be like if our days weren't broken up into day and night, today and tomorrow...

Imagine if we didn't need sleep...

There would be no feeling of "todays the day" that you get when you have an exciting day ahead...

If you had a bad day, there would be no feeling of refreshment, of renewal, or change...

If you have an argument with someone, there's no sense of time lapse, and less inscentive to move on...

If you are feeling unwell, or have a big night out, there's no sleeping it away and waking up feeling like you again...

Sleeping is like deep meditation, but the kind everyone can do...

It restores your sense of being, renews you both physically and spiritually, and divides the seemingly endless stream of existence into exciting new days!

Sleep has to be my favourite thing so far of all that we have appreciated...

What a gift!

SO, next time you're frustrated that you feel tired and you're not invincible.. or are frustrated that you're wasting your time sleeping... Just stop. Think. Relax. Close your eyes. Smile, and let the bliss of timeless peace envelop your consciousness

Needing the toilet...

Ok, so I bet you're wondering why I'm thankful for needing the toilet......

Well, wonder no longer.

The need to go the toilet is a multifaceted gift.

Firstly, for those who are completely stagnant in their lives - commonly referred to as couch potatoes - the bowels needs prevent them from getting bed sores, A.K.A. pressure ulcers. So, it ensures that super-lazy people get at least enough exercise to circulate the blood around their body a handful of times a day. Few.

Secondly, no matter where you are, it is an excuse to have a breather - if you're in a lecture, or meeting, if you're at the gym, or having an argument with someone, on a plane, on a date, literally anything, it is excusable.

After all...            When the bladder's calling, there's no stalling

Thirdly, it's quite a miraculous release. Only a really hearty sneeze can compare to the release of a good Jimmy Riddle (thats Piddle for those who don't know). And even then, we're talking a close call.

Fourthly, the colour of your wee helps you to keep a track on your hydration levels... watch out for a green tea colour, or mustard yellow... how else would you know to drink more water!?

Fifthly, it cleans your booty after a poopy.. but that's a bit crude, so shhhhh..

Thank goodness for the gift of toilet-going.

SO, next time you feel the urge, know that it's not just a nuisance, but a circulatory back-up system, a hydration indicator, an unobjectionable escape and undeniable spontaneous retreat! And then, sit down, relax, and let the bliss of release flow through your miraculous body.

Tea...

Wow. What a great day! There's been sooo many options of what to make todays entry... But ~ TEA ~ was todays winner...

You see, Tea is not just warm and cozy...

... It isn't just something to break up the day...

... A low calorie food substitute for snacking...

.. It's a tool of PEACE and HAPPINESS !

You didn't know?

Oh but it is...

How many deep meaningful chats have been had at the mercy of tea? Or coffee for those who don't quite qualify..? How many times have you cried and then gone for a tea to soothe your pain? How many giggles and chats have taken place between sips of that lovely tea?

I am afraid to say that I am a tea-ny bit mad for it. I just love Tea.

It's not a food...

It seems more than just a drink...

It's like a purposeless medicine...

Or a bath for your soul...

(If you believe in souls.. If not then for your psyche, or ego, or whatever..)

And as much as we sayyyy TEA we really mean ALL THE MANY WONDERFUL TEAS.

In the world currently, there consists a billion different tea combinations.

Probably not, but still..

There English breakfast, rose, roobois, afternoon, chai, nettle, camomile, strawberry cream (it's from sainsburys and to die for), peppermint, green, lemon & honey... The list goes on.

SO, when you're next in need of connecting yourself with yourself - go to YouTube.. Watch the twining "wherever you will go" advert, and melt into a warm, comforting, soul bathing cup of Rosie Lee..

And when you do... Stop. Taste. Feel. Appreciate. And let the tranquility fuel your life <3

Rain...

Why be happy about rain, I hear you ask... :)

Rain is water, water constitutes anything from 1/2 to 3/4 of our physical existance.. that's amazing!

That basically means that when it rains.. it's little bit of us diving from the sky!

SO there's hardly any differences between us - this should really help you to be one with the rain

But on a more serious note, y'know Wagamamas... and Pret...? Well, those tasty onions and peppers in your Yaki Soba needed rain to get to your mouth, and the avocado in your chicken sandwich needed rain to get there...

Plus... rain is Beautiful
The sound, the smell, the way the world glitters, the freshness, the cleansing... I could go on...

So...next time it rains... stop. look. think. and appreciate. Then enjoy the bliss of the purest thing falling from the sky - what a miracle.

A Day Of Happiness

Sadly, it's a real question whether most people ever achieve this.

This blog will change that, with the help of our intellect and emotions harmonising towards the truth of our instinct as humans.

Basically, to be happy :)

And here's how we're gonna do it...

I'm going to write a little but, every day, about one thing that I'm grateful for.
Just one thing.

But popular scientific studies have proven that when you devote a proportion of your time to consciously thinking positively, your subconscious carries on doing it!

Furthermore, a film and book called "The Secret" explore a fascinating idea called The Law Of Attraction - and don't mean to big bums - I mean when you think about something you are constantly emitting that energy, which in turn acts as a magnet for the very thing on your mind.

Therefore YOU have the control, not your hormones, the media or your parents.

Thing is, the 21st century has bred a load of lazy people, and I probably wont do this if people don't read it, and you probably wouldn't read it if I didn't do it, so here is my Blog Of Happiness.

It promises to make you genuinely happier in 30 days....

If it doesn't, I'll give you a full refund.

So here we go......
